Carse[edit]
The Carse system, located in the Clan Wolf Occupation Zone, was for a short time part of the Free Rasalhague Republic. Clan Wolf has begun using it as a military staging area and training ground for its young warriors.
Wolf Trial[edit]
BRIEFING[edit]
Defeat the Clan Wolf warriors in a Trial of Position as Katrina’s champion. Present Khan Vladimir Ward with the location where Victor has exiled Katrina. The Khan will then force the issue with Victor.
Rabid Fox: Khan Ward is most eager to acquire the whereabouts of Katrina’s gilded cage. To secure a position among Clan Wolf, you have to defeat a full Star of ‘Mechs in a Trial of Position. Our proposal is so unorthodox, Khan Ward has declared nothing less will suffice. These are elite Clan MechWarriors. To survive this, you’ll have to be every bit as good as the holovids are saying. You will never hold rank in their military. They have learned from their debacle with Phelan Kell. But you will be a warrior, and you will have saved Katrina from Victor’s ploy.

Spectre: I claim this Trial of Position against the MechWarriors of Clan Wolf. Who stands in opposition to this claim?
Jules Sender: I, Jules Sender, bid this Mad Dog in defiance of your claim.
Rhanda Stiles: I, Randa Stiles, bid this Summoner in defiance of your claim.
Zel Vickers: I, Zell Vickers, bid this Timber Wolf in defiance of your claim.
Hanse Noruff: I, Hanse Noruff, bid this Warhawk in defiance of your claim.
Manda Ruby: I, Manda Ruby, bid this Dire Wolf in defiance of your claim. I will crush you like the Freebirth tick that you are.
Vladimir Ward: This is Khan Vladimir Ward. I will oversee this Trial. May the wisdom of Kerensky be made evident in battle. This Trial of Position has begun.
Jules Sender: Come, freebirth. Let us see the color of your blood.
Vladimir Ward: Jules Sender has fallen. Rhanda Stiles, begin.
Rhanda Stiles: Sometimes luck favors the foolish. Your skill is lacking.
Vladimir Ward: Rhanda Stiles has fallen. Zel Vickers, initiate.
Zel Vickers: Your determination is admirable, but quite insufficient. This Trial will be your funeral.
Spectre: Neg, Zel Vickers. It will be yours.
Vladimir Ward: Most impressive. Hanse Noruff, begin.
Hanse Noruff: Aff.
Spectre: Only you and I remain, Manda Ruby. Pray that you have not bid your doom, as have your fallen brethren.
Manda Ruby: Do not address me familiarly, freebirth scum. This mockery ends now, and your remains will be scattered on the desert wind.
Spectre: I stand to claim my rightful position as a Clan Wolf warrior!
Vladimir Ward: Aff. This Trial is concluded. The Wolf has spoken.
AFTERMATH[edit]
Spectre: In the years that followed, my life with Clan Wolf was marked by constant challenges and new Trials. Each challenger made me stronger, and unwittingly contributed to the record of my deeds. I was fully indoctrinated in the Clan ways. Eager to restart the drive on Terra. Eager to make them all pay. Little did we know that a storm was rising on Terra that would sweep all before it. A storm terrible in its passing.
