MechWarrior Halloween Stories was a book published by Oriente Free Press in 3041 full of interviews with MechWarrior histories.[1]
Overview[edit]
The book included an interview with Sergeant David Hoffman, late of the Fifth Oriente Hussars that explained the situation before and after the Battle of Sierra from 3031. He explains his lance was playing poker when the raiders arrived and all left the cards as they were and went to fight. His commanding officer, Lieutenant, Senior Grade James Henderson was killed at the start of the fight, his Awesome going nova after an engine explosion. The Fifth repulsed the raiders, and when they arrived back to the barrack, with the cards still hidden, Hoffman checked what cards James Henderson had been dealt. He had a pair of aces and eights, the dead man's hand.[1]
