Description[edit]
This is an example of a typical medium satellite factory station built to provide materials which have been produced or refined in zero-G conditions. While they had been neglected during the Succession Wars, the resurgence of technology has seen a similar resurgence in factory station construction.
Weapons and Equipment[edit]
Medium/Large factory stations carry dedicated anti-fighter and anti-missile weapons and are modestly armored.
Cargo[edit]
The Cargo Bays are used for processing and storage.
Bay 1: Small Craft (12) - 2 doors
Bay 2: Cargo (8,184.5 tons) - 2 doors
Bay 3: Factory Unit (1) - 2 doors
Variants[edit]
There are numerous variations, depending on level of automation, weight, armament, and other factors. Large factory stations can mass up to 200,000 tons.
The largest known factory station (containing a fully automated germanium-ore refinery) is located in the Galax system and is operated by Federated-Boeing Interstellar.
