The Menkalinan Militia was a combined arms force that defended Capellan Confederation controlled territories on the shared world of Menkalinan. [1]
In December of 3145, Menkalinan was attacked by Julian Davion's Task Force Navarre, who targeted the planet's supply depots and military production facilities in an attempt to severely hinder the Menkalinan Home Guard's defenses and imply the intent for a follow-up invasion. The Task Force's simultaneous assaults accomplished their objectives, although an ambush from a unit of the Home Guard succeeded in downing and supposedly killing Leftenant Morton Briggs.[2][3]
