Mervyn Fernandes was the commanding officer of the Second Calderon Guard as of 3085.[1]

Colonel Fernandes was known for frequently having the soldiers of the Second Calderon Guard run combat drills, especially unscheduled drills in the middle of the night, in order to ensure the unit was ready to face any threat. As the Calderon Protectorate began preparing to launch renewed raids against the Taurian Concordat, Fernandes strove to ensure his unit was the most skilled of the Calderon Guard.[1]
