Major Michael Hart was an officer in Wolf's Dragoons, who served as the commander of Baker Battalion ("The Heartbreakers") in Beta Regiment, as of 3028.[1]
History[edit]
Hart was reputed to be a somewhat bookish intellectual, who professed a disliking for war, buts served out of loyalty and friendship for his fellow MechWarriors.[1]
Hesperus II[edit]
Hart was the commander of The Heartbreaker from at least the Thirteenth Battle of Hesperus in 3019, where the Lyrans called him the "Blue-Eyed-Devil" due to the raids and unexpected assaults he led.
Deshler[edit]
Hart also served in the Dragoons' attack on the Davion world of Deshler during early 3025, where while under pressure, his orders to desperate subordinates were masterpieces of understatement and sarcasm. For example his orders to Captain Ramon Magdaleno, who was struggling to hold a ridgeline after being ambushed and surrounded, were "My dear Captain: Perhaps you could be troubled to hold your position. The rest of the battalion seems to be missing."[1]
When finally rescued Magdaleno, despite suffering a broken arm, cracked ribs and severe burns in his ordeal, was however still in good enough spirits to retort to Major Hart "What the Hell took you so long? We had to drink all the beer."[2]
Misery[edit]
Hart's final engagement was the Battle of Misery in 3028, where he ejected from his heavily damaged 'Mech, but was killed when a Kurita Warhammer fell on him.[1]
BattleMech[edit]
Hart was known to pilot an Archer BattleMech.[1]
