Michael "Clank" Kosteva was a notable MechWarrior in the Third Crucis Lancers during the Federated Commonwealth Civil War.[1]

Sergeant Kosteva was a member of the battalion of the Third Crucis Lancers that followed Tancred Sandoval to Woodbine during the FedCom Civil War. On Woodbine, Kosteva spent three straight months fighting against the Third Lyran Regulars for control of the planetary capital of Gastogne, until a Loyalist counterattack struck Sandoval's forces. Kosteva made a stand in the swamplands of Molsen's Wash, where he destroyed an entire lance of Lyran pursuit BattleMechs before his own damaged 'Mech succumbed on the banks of the Bruford River.[1]
