Michelle Holister was a Lyran Commonwealth combat vehicle crewman, and actress, during the thirty-first century.[1]
History[edit]
Early Life[edit]
The daughter of prominent Lyran actress Diana Holister, Michelle grew up on Terra near her mother's studio, the Aldis Industries backed Inner Sphere Productions. Idolizing her mother's glamorous life, after accompanying her on publicity tours and location shoots through out her career, Michelle choose to remain on Terra in order to pursue her own acting career after Diana returned home to Tamar upon her retirement.[1]
Acting Career[edit]
With her exposure to her mother's career, Michelle was able to land a number of parts in industrial training holovid films produced for Aldis Industries, including Don’t Get Ozone in the No Zone!—Proper PPC Preventive Maintenance, Field Stripping Chemjets for Fun and Profit!, Not for Scouting: How to Deploy Your Behemoth and Look Out Below! Your Guide to Minefield Avoidance.[2][1]
While Michelle also managed to land cameo appearances on long standing Lyran series, including The Steinhearts and The Immortal Warrior, her first big break was intended to be a co-starring role in the Gurgenheim Entertainment produced Invaders from Beyond III. This film, premised on an invasion of the Inner Sphere by outside forces, was however quickly relegated to a historical footnote by the real life Clan Invasion in March 3050.[1]
Clan Invasion[edit]
Disspirted by the setbacks to her acting career, and fearful following the fall of Tamar to Clan Wolf, Michelle reached out to some contacts in the Armed Forces of the Federated Commonwealth to see if she could assist morale by making personal appearances for the troops or starring in training films.
The military was however more in need of new troops than actresses, and despite her embarrassment at the rejection, Michelle resolved to join the AFFC as a tank commander. Recalling her mother's first career as a war hero famous for the successful use of a Behemoth heavy tank, she quickly demonstrated her skill driving a Behemoth at her nearest military recruiting station, which she had learned during promotional media tours working for Aldis Industries.
Joining her mother's old unit, the 343rd Tamar Heavy Armor Regiment, she was also assigned to her mother's old Behemoth tank known as "Mama's Boy". In this tank, she managed to earn her mother's status as a war hero for herself, after fending off a Clan Steel Viper raid on Dustball in 3056. During this engagement, Michelle's tank managed to defeat two OmniMechs, while also resisting a group of Elementals which had attempted to rush her position.[1]
Acting Revival[edit]
The media attention from this military success, had the side benefit of reviving Michelle's flagging acting career, with Duchess Morasha Kelswa and (according to rumor) Dustball-based crime organization the Malthus Syndicate providing the backing necessary to cast Michelle as the star of a new series of her mother's first break out hit Thunder Patrol!.[1]
FedCom Civil War[edit]
Despite finally achieving her long sought for success as an actress, Michelle found she preferred the camaraderie of military life, and ultimately choose to remain with the 343rd Tamar Heavy Armor Regiment through the 3060s.
During the FedCom Civil War when the 343rd started to break apart on the same political lines which were fracturing the Federated Commonwealth, Michelle managed to give a stirring speech from the roof of her tank, which kept the unit united and focused on the Clan threat.[2][1]
Tomans Garrison[edit]
Posted to Tomans with the 343rd, Michelle helped repel a Clan Jade Falcon raid on the Garvis Petrochem refinery on the Crestmere Peninsula in 3068, by using area denial Thunder LRMs to slow the Falcon advance enough to enable her Behemoths eliminate two Supernovas with their Autocannons.[2][1]
Capture by Clan Wolf[edit]
Michelle's luck however ran out in 3070, when she participated in the Tamar Cavaliers doomed charge against Clan Wolf's Beta Galaxy on Tomans, falling to the Wolves Silver Keshik as she fought with them at close range.
Initially believed to have been killed during this engagement, it was later discovered by Lyran intelligence she had been captured by the Wolves, and made into a bondsman. The proof of her survival, was a number of people reporting that a person who looked like the star of Thunder Patrol!, had been appearing in educational holovids made by the Wolf artist subcaste such as Star League Standard English For the Modern Bondsman—Kicking Your Contraction Habit.[1]
Vehicle[edit]
Holister was known to have crewed a Behemoth heavy tank, also used before her by her mother, nicknamed "Mama's Boy".[1]
