Mike Nystul (born March 22, 1966 in Chicago, Illinois) wrote numerous role-playing game products in the 1990's, also serving as one of the main" product developers for BattleTech during the FASA era to the point of becoming BattleTech Line Developer until ca. the end of 1991. His brother Bryan Nystul would succeed him in that role (with Scott Jenkins serving in between them from 1992 through 1993). He is credited as developer in a number of products FASA released during or shortly after his tenure, plus design credits for the MechWarrior, Second Edition role-playing game and some writing credits.
Outside of Battletech, Nystul wrote several products for FASA's Shadowrun line and created the Whispering Vault role-playing game, among other projects.
