Mistress Hu-Tu (born est. 3020 - died 3???) was the spiritual leader of the "Divine Spirit" movement in the Capellan Confederation during the Jihad era.
History[edit]
Hu-Tu arose as the leader of the "Divine Spirit" movement during the mid-31st century. Her origins were a mystery, and as Hu-Tu is also the Mother Earth goddess in Chinese mythology, it was unknown whether this was her true name or a moniker.
Hu-Tu herself was affiliated with no other political or religious agenda, stating that she was solely a prophet of truth. She and her followers believed that the Confederation was surviving its enemies' attacks through divine providence, manifested in the person of Chancellor Sun-Tzu Liao. His continued survival after multiple attempts on his life, Hu-Tu claimed, was proof of his divinity. She used this belief to urge her followers and all Capellans to rally for a time of renewed glory for their homeland.
The maskirovka attempted to infiltrate the movement's higher ranks in an effort to learn more about Hu-Tu, but as of 3077 were unsuccessful.[1]
