Description[edit]
Mountain troops are infantry specially trained and equipped to fight in the thin atmosphere and dangerous terrain of mountain warfare.[1] Among the most notable of these units are the 45th Cerulean Mountain Regiment of the Second Davion Guards. These troopers, equipped with rebreather masks and climbing equipment, provide the AFFS with the capability to fight at altitudes hazardous to conventional aircraft. Known as "Goat Men", Mountaineers often achieve surprise by coming upon the enemy from a direction they previously thought safe.[2]
Armament[edit]
The primary armament for troopers of the Forty-fifth are M42B Assault Rifles, with additional firepower supplied by two Light SRM Launchers.[2]
