Naj Atton was a notable intelligence operative working for the Capellan Confederation during the Dark Age Era.[1]

Captain Atton was ostensibly a hiring agent for mercenary groups and his company was responsible for hiring numerous units to defend Republic of the Sphere border worlds that later fell during Operation GREAT FLOOD. The mercenaries Atton hired were either outclassed by the jobs they were assigned to, retreated in the face of danger, or clashed badly enough with the planetary locals as to destabilize the world further. After the Capellan Confederation conquered the border worlds, Atton's company hired reputable groups that could effectively defend the planets they were posted on, which suggested that Atton's company was a front for the Confederation—and that he was a potential Maskirovka agent.[1]
