Nicole Talisman was a notable combat vehicle operator in the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns during the Victoria War.[1]
History[edit]
During the Victoria War, Sergeant Talisman's crew were tasked with carrying a platoon of jump infantry to infiltrate and destroy a Capellan Confederation Home Guard base. For two days, the Federated Suns tankers slowly traveled a distance of only six kilometers as they passed through enemy lines, before making a rapid dash towards the enemy facility. While the Capellans had been anticipating an attack, they were prepared for a VTOL assault and thus taken completely off-guard by Talisman's crew and the infantrymen they carried, leading to the complete destruction of the supply depot.[2][3]
For sneaking their tank through enemy territory and for making good use of their infantrymen as advanced scouts, Talisman and her comrades were rewarded with several battle honors upon returning to friendly lines. While these included promotions and nominations for Sunburst Medals, the commander of the FedSuns' BattleMech forces on Victoria denied Talisman and her team from receiving such a prestigious award, worried that it would make his own MechWarriors look worse in comparison.[1]
