Oleg Piers was a resident of the Free Worlds League, from Bowang, as of 3151.

History

In December 3151 Piers was interviewed by Voices of the Sphere, on the subject of the Blackout, and its impact on the lives of citizens of the Inner Sphere. In this interview, Piers discussed the growth of local media and sports leagues, due to the opportunities created by the limited distribution of interstellar entertainment such as the Solaris Games. While content popular Inner Sphere-wide would arrive, delayed but in gluts as courier JumpShips were able to transport it, local product would thrive in-between such events.

Piers however speculated the resurgence of local media would not survive the restoration of the HPG network, given the disparity in quality.
