History[edit]
Omicron Galaxy, previously Omicron Provisional Galaxy was one of the second line Nova Cat units. It provided reliable, if not inspired, service during its entire history. In 2913 elements of Omicron Galaxy seized fifty AeroSpace Fighters from Clan Cloud Cobra's Fifth Cobra Coil Cluster. This was considered the highlight of Omicron's history.[1]
In 3063, the Fifth Nova Cat Regulars and Sixth Garrison Cluster defeated Clan Ghost Bear's Seventeenth Provisional Garrison Cluster. During the FedCom Civil War, the Fourth Nova Cat Regulars attacked Lyons to test the LCAF's response.[2]
By 3067 the Galaxy was known as "Purified in Soul."[3]
With the 3077 introduction of the Arbalest, much of the production went to Omicron. The additional strength provided by the Arbalest and other designs allowed Omicron to be promoted to a fully operational second-line Galaxy. While the majority of the touman followed a vision to depart Combine service and join Devlin Stone's coalition, the Khan ordered Omicron to spread out among Clan holdings in the Combine.[4][5]
