Colonel Paula Brighton Lannes was an officer with the Capellan Confederation Armed Forces.[1]

Lannes served as the Commanding Officer of the Second Chesterton Voltigeurs from at least 3025 until 3029.[1] During the Fourth Succession War, as part of Operation RIPOSTE, Lannes and her unit participated in a raid on New Aragon intended to destroy Federated Suns warehouses. Landing near Fort Ellison with two Battalions, Lannes did not expect heavy resistance, which resulted in her spreading her forces too thinly. Surprised by the defending First Aragon Borderers and a number of supporting conventional Regiments, the Voltigeurs suffered a series of ambushes as they approached the fort, before they were bombed by the aerospace fighters of the Davion Heavy Guards.
Attempting to fall back to a designated rendezvous point for pick up by her DropShips, Lannes did not realize they were being defeated in the air by the Federated Suns aerospace forces, only to witness the fiery crash of one of her transports as she reached what she had believed to have been safety. With no escape possible, Colonel Lannes then surrendered to her Federated Suns opponents.[2]
