Major Paulus Noble was a member of the Waco Rangers from at least 3007 to 3032.[1][2][3]

History[edit]

Paulus Noble was an original member of the Waco Rangers, serving with Colonel Wayne Waco since its formation in 3007, resulting in him being one of Waco's most trusted subordinates and often acting as the Rangers' second-in-command. From 3007 to 3025, Noble was injured five times in combat and had lost or worn out three 'Mechs.

Mara[edit]

As commander of Waco Rangers' First Battalion (Noble's Assault Battalion), Noble's battlefield experience included participating in a 3014 raid on the Federated Suns world of Mara while under contract with the Draconis Combine. His battalion's landing was delayed due to its DropShip being intercepted by aerospace fighters from the Third Ceti Hussars.[4]

Hyperion[edit]

In 3024, Noble led his battalion as part of an assault on the Draconis Combine world of Hyperion in search of units from the Wolf's Dragoons while under Lyran Commonwealth contract. While in the capital city of Ahsiz, however, the Rangers were attacked by a larger force of two Dragoons regiments and were forced to retreat off-world.[5]

Nockatunga[edit]

In September 3032, Noble participated with his battalion in the fighting between the Waco Rangers and Snord's Irregulars on Nockatunga. Noble was part of a group of Rangers 'Mechs, including Colonel Waco, which were trapped by the Irregulars in the hills twelve kilometers from the city of Thule. The Rangers were defeated by the Irregulars in the ensuing battle, with Cranston Snord disabling Colonel Waco's 'Mech, though choosing to spare his life.[3]

BattleMech[edit]

Paulus Noble was known to have piloted a Banshee BattleMech, nicknamed The Fixer, which was painted black and silver.[1][3]
