Pierre Claessens was a notable officer in the Fifteenth Arcturan Guards during the Dark Age Era.[1]

When Clan Jade Falcon's 3142 invasion of Arcturus sent the defending Fifteenth Arcturan Guards into retreat, Hauptmann Claessens' OmniMech lance provided critical rearguard defense while the regiment fled towards its DropShips. Claessens and his comrades eliminated any light machines that evaded the Guards' heavier pickets and ensured the survival of the unit's armor and infantry contingents by waging an aggressive urban battle amidst the abandoned ruins of the city of Brighton.[2][3] Although he fought well on Arcturus and was the heir to one of New Capetown's star families, Claessens' promotion to company command was seen as a sign of desperation for the weakening Lyran Commonwealth Armed Forces. Despite this, his vitriolic hatred for the Clans guaranteed that he would continue to serve on the frontlines of the Lyran Commonwealth's battles with the likes of the Jade Falcons.[1]
