Porter Romero was a Federated Suns citizen born on Armington.[1]
History[edit]
Porter Romero spent most of the FedCom Civil War piloting exoskeletons and LoaderMechs for the local spaceport and learning as much as possible on BattleMech engineering.
Just after the failed pirate raid made by forces coming from the Pirate's Haven that had been repulsed by the Armington Planetary Militia, he asked several favours and was able to borrow a company LoaderMech which he then used to go to the site of the planetary battle.
There he found a heavily damaged pirate MLN-1B Merlin and a trackless militia Bulldog tank. Thanks to the skills he had gained reading every manual and schematic on BattleMechs he was able to repair the Merlin with the leftover parts of the Bulldog. This made him the only privately owned BattleMech on Armington.
Since them he offered security services to the planet's port.[1]
