Profiting from the Suffering of Others: A Ten-Step Guide was a written work, authored by Kevan "Kronerhound" Ortman, in various editions between 3149 and 3152.[1][2][3][4][5]

Overview[edit]

Initially published shortly before September 3149, the first edition of this work, provided advice on how to be a successful mercenary based on its author's experiences.[1][2] Following a subsequent return to mercenary work in the Hinterlands during 3151 and 3152, Ortman published a revised and updated 3152 edition of Profiting from the Suffering of Others: A Ten-Step Guide. This edition included profiles on various players and institutions in the Hinterlands mercenary industry, such as Abdoun Ricol, the black market, Clan Sea Fox and other Clan factions.[3][4][5]
