The Prosperity was a Leopard-class DropShip operated by the Clan Jade Falcon merchant caste as of 3050. In that year,[1] elements of the 1st Somerset Strikers captured the vessel and used it as a cover to reach Somerset,[2] a world occupied by Clan Jade Falcon.
It seems unlikely that the Prosperity came from the Clan homeworlds, given its small size and carrying capacity (where larger and more common freighter DropShips could have carried more cargo by an order of magnitude while also occupying only one JumpShip hardpoint in transit) and the fact that the Leopard class had been phased out in favor of its successor design among the Clans, the Broadsword, for decades. This in turn suggests the Prosperity was captured by Clan Jade Falcon from Inner Sphere or near periphery forces earlier in the Clan Invasion.
Modifications[edit]
All of the 'Mech and aerospace fighter cubicles on the Prosperity had been removed to make room for 900 tons of cargo space.[2] It was also observed that Clan merchant vessels were not allowed to carry weapons on general principle,[3] suggesting that the weapons suite on the Prosperity had been uninstalled as well.
