Quentin was an officer in Clan Cloud Cobra's 214th Cobra Fangs Cluster during the Golden Century.[1]

On 10 September 2954, Star Captain Quentin of the Hobbes bloodline was part of an exhibition put on by Clan Cloud Cobra in order to demonstrate the capabilities of the Clan's new Pella aerospace fighter. While flying alongside Star Colonel Samson Izumi, Star Captain Marcella Sheridan, and Pilot Tomas Masino, Quentin witnessed as Sheridan's aircraft suffered from numerous mechanical failures before making a dive towards the viewing stands. Quentin obeyed Star Colonel Izumi's orders to shoot down Sheridan's craft in order to save the life of Cobra Khan Patrick McCloud, killing his comrade but successfully preventing what was subsequently revealed to have been a Clan Coyote assassination attempt.[1]
When DropShips from the Coyotes' Nineteenth Battle Cluster arrived and began disgorging both fighters and BattleMechs, Quentin and his two remaining allies turned to engage with the enemy's aerial forces in an effort to buy time for reinforcements to arrive. Unfortunately, the Coyotes' numerical superiority ensured the destruction of the three Cobra craft and Quentin was killed when he was set upon by three Points of enemy fighters and shot down.[1]
