R. N. Herrick was a prominent sociologist, in the Federated Suns, sometime prior to 3022.[1]
History[edit]
Herrick was known for proposing a theory, in which he compared the post First Star League Successor States to the period of the Thirty Tyrants during the Roman Empire, where civil instability was caused by an overly powerful military. Other authors, such as Natalie Wessick in The Inner Sphere and the Modern Feudalistic State, applied Herrick's theory to explain events such as the murder of First Prince Peter Davion by the Davion Warriors' Cabal.[1]
