Ranai Kasrer was a notable armored infantryman in the Army of the Marik-Stewart Commonwealth during the Dark Age Era.[1]

Sergeant Kasrer was the officer in charge of Washburn's defensive infantry when the planet was invaded by Clan Wolf during Operation HAMMERFALL. While the AMSC had utilized assault battle armor troopers effectively on several other planets, the Wolves had learned from their past mistakes and were well-prepared when the majority of Kasrer's troopers attempted to flank and eliminate the Wolves' artillery assets. When the attacking infantrymen were killed to the last man by entrenched Wolf battle armor, Kasrer's surviving soldiers fell back to Washburn's Irian Technologies facility and prepared to make a last stand. Although the Commonwealth forces ultimately failed to hold the factory, Kasrer's men held the line for far longer than the Wolves expected, leading Star Captain Zetoras Ward to accept her challenge to fight in a Circle of Equals. Kasrer lost the following duel but managed to severely injure Ward in the proccess, earning her a position as the Star Captain's bondswoman.[1][2]
