Rapier hired mercenary MechWarrior, to complete contracts for employers, such as protect them during trade dispute. In one some example, on Mararn sometime between 3124 and 3140, this included destroying the trade caravan of a local merchant engaged in a dispute over water with Rapier's trade employer, in order to prevent the conflict from escalating.

The neo-Blakist Blessed Order movement within ComStar also used Rapier's staff of MechWarriors as a source of recruits for its reborn Com Guard.
