Richard Merriwether was the second in command of the Brion's Legion after Colonel Octavius Brion and was widely known for his MechWarrior (pilot) skills even against Clan enemies.
He rose from Captain of the First Regiment, David's Lesson's second Company in 3057 to become executive officer of the Regiment in 3067.
