Roberto Rodriguez was a notable MechWarrior in the Davion Light Guards during the Republic Age.[1]

Leftenant Rodriguez was one of the first Armed Forces of the Federated Suns pilots to be given command of a Clan Sea Fox-produced Stalking Spider II BattleMech. While deployed alongside the Davion Light Guards on an antipiracy operation in 3110, Rodriguez was killed at the end of the battle when the ammunition in both of his SRM launchers exploded and caused a lethal amount of neurohelmet feedback. His demise was later used as the foundation for an official AFFS investigation into the combat effectiveness of the Stalking Spider II 'Mech model.[1]
