Rodrigo Cobb was a senior officer and notable MechWarrior in Clan Hell's Horses' Seventy-first Mechanized Cavalry Cluster during the Dark Age Era.[1]

Star Colonel Rodrigo commanded Clan Hell's Horses' Seventy-first Mechanized Cavalry until his advanced age forced him to relinquish the position. Instead of transferring to a solahma unit or to a sibko training detail, Rodrigo elected to join his Clan's QuadVee program and successfully made the move after winning several Trials of Refusal. As a Star Commander, Rodrigo and his Star were transferred back to the Seventy-first Mechanized Cavalry as a means for his superiors to test whether he could place the Clan's interests above his personal honor. During Operation NOYAN, Rodrigo's unit was one of four Hell's Horses Stars bid in the battle for Leskovik and he was soon senior officer amongst the Horse troops after their commander's DropShip was shot down by Clan Jade Falcon.[1]
Having lost several heavy and assault BattleMechs with the downing of the command ship, Rodrigo's warriors were left piloting the heaviest machines when compared to the other Horsemen's ProtoMechs and battle armor suits. Despite being outmatched and ultimately incapable of defeating the Falcon forces, Rodrigo proved that he still had value to his Clan by eliminating an entire Star of Jade Falcons before his QuadVee's munitions ran out. However, his loss of his Star's Boreas BattleMech to the Falcons was seen as a black mark on his performance.[1]
