Roland Colt was a MechWarrior who commanded a Crater Cobras unit.[1]
History[edit]
Roland Colt and his Crater Cobras unit were employed by the Federated Suns to anchor several Davion counter-incursions into the Dieron Military District, attempting to stall advances made by the Draconis Combine. He was as revered by his subordinates as he was feared by his foes.[1]
The DCMS knew that eliminating Colt would allow their forces free rein to operate in Davion territory, but that Kurita warriors who espouse the bushido tenet of honorable combat would balk at a headhunting strike behind enemy lines. Thus, they turned to a mercenary unit who had the advantage of flexible morality. After Colt's death, the Cobras unit was sent into disarray and the Combine troops had the opening they needed.[1]
