Description[edit]
The Routemaster Hover Shuttle is a small civilian transport, intended to be an inexpensive transportation option to residents, typically seen in large cities. Built by Defiance Industries' Civilian Division, the Routemaster is their solution where a large vehicle is needed but there isn't much infrastructure.
The vehicle can traverse most terrain, including waterways.
In service since 2770, the Routemaster is a popular vehicle, including in the Lyran Capital World, where in Tharkad City the vehicle's red livery is a beloved feature of the city to its citizens. When Archon Katherine Steiner-Davion during her rule in the 3050s-3060s attempted change the beloved vehicle's color scheme to her preferred Steiner Blue, she was met with significant resistance by city's citizenry, and she backed off from the plans.[1][2]
Equipment and Capabilities[edit]
Built on a small chassis, the vehicle's ICE power plant can propel it to excess of 150 km/h, while transporting its 13 passengers and driver. While not a cargo hauler, the vehicle has a modest cargo capacity of 85 kg. Its shell is armored with 86 kg of BAR 3 grade commercial armor to offer protection the minor collisions typically seen on the roadways.[1][2]
Notes[edit]
- As of this writing, the Routemaster has no record sheet nor battle value assigned to it.
- When first published in TRO: Vehicle Annex, two images of hover buses were presented in the picture with no description of which was the Routemaster and which the Lewis Skimmer Bus. The image of the Routemaster is what was officially posted on Catalyst Game Labs' official unit listing site.
