Russell Barton was, as of 3132, captain of the JumpShip Hasek.[1]

Barton was one of the last witnesses to see the JumpShip Farstar before its 3132 disappearance. In Sadalbari as the Farstar departed, Barton reportedly saw only one Mammoth-class DropShip among the Farstar's six DropShips, as opposed to the two the JumpShip's manifests claimed it carried. Republic Transport and Safety Bureau spokesperson Erin McDonough dismissed this claim as the result of confusion.[1]
