The Ryans Fate system (also occasionally spelled Ryan's Fate in reference to the planet) was the location of at least one planet.[1] Colonized by the Capellan Confederation during the Star League era, it is located in what was then the Sian Commonality of the Capellan Confederation, near Bringdam and Fjaldr.

System History[edit]

Ryans Fate first appeared as a Capellan Confederation world, and remained a Capellan holding as of 2890[2] even after the Confederation had abandoned Mechdur and the surrounding periphery systems and pulled their periphery boundary coreward. By 3022 it was part of the Aurigan Coalition,[3] a young political entity itself teetering on the brink of collapse at the time,[4] and vanished from maps afterwards, indicating that it had either been abandoned, depopulated, or rendered too insignificant to merit further recording.

Infrastructure

The planet Ryan's Fate was described as a hot and arid world with a single shallow and briny sea, and with brief but violent rainy seasons.[1] Extensive caverns honeycomb the crust. Local industry is mainly concerned with flood farming and mining of (unspecified) high-quality crystals and fissionables.[1]

From BattleTech (Video Game): Ryans Fate is said to be a baleful planet only worth living on it because of the mining of his toxic underground materials. Life on the planet is characterized as harsh.[35]
