Ryouji Kurashige was a notable officer in the Hikage Regiment during the Dark Age Era.[1]

In the years following Gray Monday, Tai-i Kurashige earned a reputation for being a model soldier and skilled tactician while fighting against the Draconis Combine's enemies in the Republic of the Sphere. When he requested permission to undergo Draconis Elite Strike Team training, his superiors quickly greenlit the idea, despite his BattleMech experience not necessarily lending itself to the DEST's armored infantry specialties. When Coordinator Yori Kurita formed the elite Hikage Regiment, Kurashige's loyalty to her earned him a position as a company commander in the new unit.[1]
