The Ryuken-hachi regiment was created in the Dark Age era, modeled after the other Ryuken who were created to be trained and adopt the tactics of the Wolf's Dragoons mercenary unit.
History[edit]
The Ryuken-hachi, or Ryuken Eight in japanese, was the newest of the six Ryuken regiments[when?]. This regiment carried on a competition with Beta Regiment of Wolf’s Dragoons to keep pace with them during the invasion of the Federated Suns, however because of their recklessness and haste both regiments suffered comparable losses.[1]
In 3146 they assaulted New Avalon alongside the Fifth Sword of Light and the Second Genyosha.[2]

Tactics[edit]
Highly mobile unit tactics, based on teachings of Wolf's Dragoons. The conventional forces are set in prebattle position for ambushes and rear attacks when the time is right. Combined arms warfare is used with great efficiency.
