The SLDF Academies were a group of military schools that provided the Star League Defense Force with trained officers and personnel. At the height of their influence, the SLDF Academy network consisted of 200 institutions in both the Terran Hegemony and SLDF member states. After the fall of the Star League, many of these former SLDF academies like the University of Proserpina continued to serve as war colleges in the various Successor States.[1]
Overview[edit]
Typical SLDF Academy training lasted 18 months, and cadets served for four years after graduation. In addition to training cadets and holding annual maneuvers, some academies like the War Academy of Mars also served as think tanks and operational headquarters for the SLDF.[2]
