Sa'id al Aawar was the commanding officer of Scythe Company of the 212th Special Operations Battalion during the Republic Age.[2][1]

History[edit]

Sa'id al Aawar, although born only minutes after his twin brother Farah, worshipped his older, more driven sibling. Whereas Farah saw their childhood wargames as practice for their future careers in the Arkab Legions, Sa'id saw them as just another kind of game. Despite Farah's constant haranguing, Sa'id enlisted in the Republic Armed Forces as a corporal in the 212th Special Operations Battalion alongside his brother and developed a reputation for being both approachable and fun-loving. When Farah was killed in action on Gan Singh, Sa'id swore to honor his brother's sacrifice by pushing himself harder than anyone else in his unit. Although offered the opportunity to transfer or be promoted out of Stone's Trackers, Sa'id refused to abandon the unit his brother died serving and subsequently played a major role in maintaining the Trackers' edge during the first decades of the Republic of the Sphere's existence. Promoted to captain and commander of the Battalion's Scythe Company in 3106, Sa'id had no patience for the "paperwork" of senior command and instead conducted frequent, excruciating wilderness training exercises in some of the harshest climates Prefecture X could offer.[1]
