Sandrea Kwambai was a notable officer in the Kathil Capellan March Militia during the Fourth Succession War.[1]
History[edit]
Captain Kwambai's company of the Kathil CMM was caught badly unprepared when the Fourth Tau Ceti Rangers attacked Kathil during the Fourth Succession War. Although she gave the order for her men to withdraw to the positions Morgan Hasek-Davion assigned them, Kwambai knew they would never make it to the Kearny-Fuchida Yare Industries Microwave Broadcast Station in time to help. Instead, Kwambai passed her command onto Leftenant Jackie Northfield and made to face the Fourth Rangers on her own. For the next seven minutes she fought against the Rangers, killing two of them and severely damaging another lance of BattleMechs, while simultaneously buying enough time for Hasek-Davion to organize a counterattack. The Microwave Broadcast Station was ultimately saved, although by inspiring her fellow soldiers to similar acts of heroism Kwambai's own feat was largely overlooked.[1]
