Planetary History[edit]
Clan Invasion[edit]
Sawyer was conquered by Clan Smoke Jaguar in May 3050 as part the Second Wave of Operation REVIVAL over the course of two days, involving Supernova Battle of the 225th Jaguar Battle Cluster and the mercenary company Dark Horns. The first day of battle was spent by the Elementals of Alpha Nova hunting for the mercenaries, who had dug in at the Posit Woods east of the capital. When they discovered them early on the second day, the Elementals succeeded in driving the mercenaries out of the lightly wooded area and straight into the waiting guns of the Supernova's OmniMechs.[17]
Control of the planet was handed over to Clan Nova Cat in November 3051 during the Fifth Wave of the invasion. The Smoke Jaguars had ruthlessly and brutally wiped out all resistance on the planet, so the landing of Lachesis Keshik's Alpha Command Star was simply a formality. Both Nova Cat Khans were on hand to accept the fealty of the planet's leaders, who for their part were just grateful to swear allegiance to a more benevolent overlord.[18]
Operation BULLDOG[edit]
In late May 3059, Sawyer was invaded in the first wave of Operation BULLDOG by the Third Night Stalkers. The defending Nova Cats Twelfth Garrison Cluster quickly surrendered the planet without firing a shot.[33][34]
