Sejanus Buhallin was saKhan of Clan Jade Falcon in 3030.[1]

History[edit]

Though highly thought of by senior Khan Yvonne Hazen, saKhan Sejanus Buhallin was deemed too politically naive to further the Crusader cause. When then un-blooded Elias Crichell rose through the ranks and his oratory skills won more converts to the Crusader cause, Khan Hazen was increasingly convinced the ristar Elias was better suited to assume leadership of both the Jade Falcons and the Crusaders and helped in his rise. Standing in Elias's way however was saKhan Sejanus Buhallin, who was equally ambitious to take on the position of senior Khan, and their rivalry split the Clan into two camps. The lack of Bloodname hurt Elias, but that was soon to be rendered moot with Elias's ascension to lead the elite Turkina Keshik and his winning of a Bloodname a year later.[1]

Buhallin was one of the few Jade Falcon warriors to place any trust or value in the reports of Wolf's Dragoons and was supported by Kael Pershaw, who were regarded as little more than Clan Wolf freebirths, and therefore, untrustworthy liabilities to the Crusader agenda. When reports from the Dragoons stopped arriving in 3028, Crichell and his supporters were quick to call the Dragoons traitors and Buhallin both a fool for trusting this Wolf Clan plot and weak for having liberal attitudes towards freebirths. Elias Crichell and his supporters hurled insults at Buhallin of being a secret Warden. Such accusations weakened saKhan Buhallin's position and he attempted to redress these slights through Trials, but Khan Hazen interceded to end the feud and laid the blame for it at her saKhan's feet.[1]

Sejanus Buhallin died shortly thereafter in a freak ammunition-feeder jam - officially due to an accident during training - though either Sejanus taking his own life to end his shame or Ellias Crichell or his supporters removing a rival are posited. His death opened the way for Crichell to assume the position of saKhan.[1]
