Captain Setsuo Omoto was a member, and later commander of, the 14th Recon Company, 17th Recon Battalion, 71st Light Horse Regiment of the Eridani Light Horse from at least 3025 to 3058.[1][2]

Omoto was, as of 3025, a mere MechWarrior within the 14th Recon Company's Command Lance.[1]
By 3058 however, he had been promoted to Captain, and command of the 14th Recon Company. In this role he was a part of the Eridani Light Horse's contribution to the Coventry Expeditionary Force, which fought against Clan Jade Falcon during the Battle of Coventry.
On 9 May, Omoto helped to defend the town of Lietnerton on Coventry, fighting against elements of the 305th Assault Cluster.[2]
BattleMech[edit]
Omoto was known to have initially pilot a Phoenix Hawk BattleMech.[1] By 3058 his 'Mech had been upgraded to a TMP-3M Tempest BattleMech.[2]
