The Seventh Sun Zhang Academy Cadre was one of the Sun Zhang MechWarrior Academy's prestigious cadre units. Cadets assigned to the unit are put to the ultimate test by seeing real combat. Like all Sun Zhang Cadres, the Seventh was a free-floating regiment with no supporting regiments attached.

Star League[edit]
Prior to 2786, the Seventh Sun Zhang Academy Cadre was created and stationed on Hildaman and considered a "Medium" Regiment. The Seventh remained on Hildaman until the beginning of the First Succession War.[1]
Succession Wars[edit]
First Succession War[edit]
The Seventh Sun Zhang Academy Cadre participated in the fighting along the Federated Suns border. The unit survived the deadly conflict and was then stationed on Lima. They were reported to have taken 49% casualties.[1]
Second Succession War[edit]
The Seventh Sun Zhang Academy Cadre also fought in the Second Succession War starting out from their posting on Lima. At some time during the war, the Seventh was destroyed.[2]
