The Seventy-fifth Royal Hussar Regiment was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army. It was one of the SLDF's Royal units, which consisted of troops from the Terran Hegemony.
History[edit]
The Seventy-fifth Royal Hussars played a notable role in the First Hidden War against the Draconis Combine when its newly-arrived champion, Colonel Donovan Fresnel, became the first SLDF Gunslinger to achieve a draw against a DCMS Marauder in 2687 on the world of Minakuchi during an hour-long duel.[1]
In 2764, the unit was assigned as a part of VIII Corps, Fourteenth Army to District 1 of the Draconis Combine Military Region.[2] Elements of the Seventy-fifth had been loaned to XIV Corps to help train its many green units. This had the reciprocal effect of keeping their skills sharp in a period when there was little activity otherwise.[3]
The Seventy-fifth was transferred to District 2 of the DCMR in 2765 to take part in the Periphery Uprising. The unit was destroyed during the Hegemony Campaign.[2]
