The Seventy-first Infantry Division was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.

History[edit]

In 2764, the unit was assigned as a part of LV Corps, Fifth Army to District 1 of the Capellan Confederation Military Region.[2] The Seventy-first had spent the previous two years building numerous small forts and hidden boltholes across the landscape of Ulan Bator. The unit practiced defending and attacking these strongpoints.[1]

The Seventy-first was transferred to District 3 by 2765 as part of the redeployment effort to fight the Periphery Uprising. The Seventy-first was destroyed during the Hegemony Campaign.[2]

Regarded as reliable defenders, the Seventy-first was trained in guerilla warfare.[1]

Composition History[edit]

As an SLDF Infantry division, the Seventy-first would have been formed from two brigades of grunt infantry and a brigade of light BattleMech regiments.[3]
