Plot Summary[edit]
The narrator, Zander Shienzè, is a member of the Shienzè clan on New Home. He bitterly remembers how his family had once stood for this world during the Jihad, but now the family has lost the title of baron. He recovers his family's Spider and escapes from the forces sent by planetary governor Clarence Whitman to capture him. Chased by two Demon Medium Tanks, one SM1 Tank Destroyer and four Saxon APCs. He travels to the Ashentines (an offshoot of the New Home's Great Spine Mountains) simulating he is escaping while in reality he is sending them to his trap, set in graveyard where the Word of Blake forces on New Home made their last stand. Hidden infantry, plus a Fox Armored Car and a Joust Medium Tank, successfully ambush his enemies even though they have deployed Grenadier battle armor and were able to capture the SM1 by the usage of a suicide squad armed with antipersonnel grenades that are thrown inside the vehicle.
