Shadrak "Shad" Keating was a notable officer in the Eleventh Donegal Guards during the Clan Invasion and Federated Commonwealth Civil War.[1]
History[edit]
Sergeant Major Keating was assigned to the Eleventh Donegal Guards in 3050 and was one of the few members of the unit to survive fighting against Clan Jade Falcon. In his first ever battle, Keating began the fight against the Falcons as the newest soldier in his lance and ended it as the lance commander by merit of being the sole survivor. This event caused Keating to develop an intense pathological hatred for the Falcons and he would battle against them again on Graceland in 3064. Keating received yet another battlefield promotion following the conclusion of the Graceland conflict, as much of the rest of the Eleventh Donegal had been killed or wounded in the fighting. While Keating's subsequent military career proved to be both long and successful, he was never able to accept that his two biggest promotions were given to him by his greatest enemies.[1]
