The Sharpsburg was a spacecraft of unspecified class and type. On 30 August 3060 it was one of the ships used by the future Fidelis to leave Huntress. Paul Moon mentioned in his final last communication with Paul Masters, just prior to the fleet leaving the Huntress system, that the Lootera HPG core which had been removed a week earlier was carried in the hold of the Sharpsburg.[1]
Although it is not explicitly mentioned, context suggests that the Sharpsburg was one of the DropShips operated by the merchant caste of the former Clan Smoke Jaguar. Their entire merchant DropShip fleet had been grounded by the re-formed Star League following their conquest of Huntress and was collectively stolen by the future Fidelis on 24 August 3060; the HPG core had been removed a day earlier already over the course of the preparations. However, the Sharpsburg was only confirmed to be the ship carrying the core six days later, after the DropShip fleet had arrived at the JumpShip fleet waiting at the nadir jump point. It is not confirmed whether or not it was the Sharpsburg that brought the core from Huntress, and thus it cannot be established with certainty that the Sharpsburg must be a DropShip.
