Description

The Shen Long is a Quad type heavy class battle armor which was produced in the last years of the thirty-first century for both the Capellan Confederation and its close allies in the Magistracy of Canopus. Designed with speed and firepower in mind, the Shen Long — Chinese for "Divine Dragon" — employs its modular turret and stealth to outmaneuver and ambush enemy combat units.

It would first see significant action against Davion during the Victoria War of 3105. During that conflict, the Shen Long would be noted for its action on Menke. That world's Home Guard teamed the speedy armor with minelaying Fa Shih battle armor to lure Davion's 'Mech lance into a valley and employ the Shen Long's various configurations to fool the Davion forces into withdrawing at the cost of an assault 'Mech.

Weapons and Equipment

The Shen Long uses 550 kilograms of Mimetic Armor to elude enemy sensors. Fitted with a Modular Turret Mount, the Shen Long is able to handle upwards to 400 kg worth of weapons and equipment.

  This version mounts four David Light Gauss Rifles in the turret with 15 rounds of ammunition for each weapon.

• Interdictor 

  This version mounts two Flamers in the turret, as well as an ECM Suite in its body.

• Machine Gun 

  This version mounts four Machine Guns in the turret with 50 rounds of ammunition for each weapon.

• MRM 

  This version mounts a five-tube Medium Range Missile launcher in its turret with enough ammunition for four volleys.

• Pop-Up Mine 

  This version mounts two Heavy Grenade Launchers in the turret with twenty rounds of ammunition each. In addition, it mounts a Pop-Up Mine launcher in the body.

• SRM 

  This version mounts a four-tube Short Range Missile launcher in its turret with enough ammunition for four volleys.
