Siobhan Sortek was an AFFS officer and the granddaughter of the renowned Ardan Sortek.[4] She was a supporter and trusted confidante of Julian Davion and served as his executive officer for a time.[5]
History[edit]
Siobhan Sortek was the commanding officer of Julian Davion's First Davion Auxiliaries from 3145 to 3150.[3] After she was tapped to serve as Julian's executive officer, she formed a close relationship with the head of the MIIO, Sebastien Caeden.[6] When the commanding officer of the Fourth Davion Guards, General Baxter Taft, retired due to a severe heart attack, Siobhan was given command of that unit.[7] She and her brother Justin served as members of the First Prince's command and bodyguard cadre during Operation DAWN. They fought alongside both Julian and Erik Sandoval-Groell on New Avalon and assisted in defeating Matsuhari Toranaga on the field of battle.[8]
Under orders from Julian, Siobhan accompanied a diplomatic mission led by Kym Hasek to the problematic duke of the Capellan March, Alexander Hasek. When it was discovered that Alexander had led a foolhardy, unsanctioned attack on the Taurian Concordat and been captured, Siobhan and Kym headed the Federated Suns delegation that ostensibly sought to ransom him from his captors. The delegation was a front, and Siobhan was instrumental in planning the covert MIIO raid that freed him.[9] In the aftermath of New Avalon's liberation, and upon returning from the rescue mission, she was promoted to Major General and offered a posting to the DMI under Field Marshal Margot Zibler.[10]

Siobhan piloted a Victor painted in the Davion Guards' tricolor scheme (worn when the First Prince is attached to the unit) while accompanying Julian during the Federated Suns' liberation of New Avalon.[8]
