The Skallevoll system was home to at least one habitable world and as of 3151 was located in the Rasalhague Province of the Rasalhague Dominion.[1]

Early History[edit]

Colonists from the Federal Democratic Republics of Finland, Norway and Sweden emigrated in significant numbers after the end of the War Damage Tax payments levied on them as a part of the international rebuilding effort following the Second Soviet Civil War. Choosing a world far from Terra and the oppressive bureaucracy that went with it, the first colonists left in the mid-twenty-third century and within sixty years had settled Rasalhague and eight other nearby worlds[2] including Skallevoll.[3] In the late twenty-third century these worlds created a joint government to oversee the development of the worlds, creating the Rasalhague Consortium. Contact with other interstellar nations led to the Consortium evolving into the short-lived Principality of Rasalhague, prior to the Principality being conquered by the Draconis Combine in the early to mid-twenty-fourth century.[2]

Star League[edit]

After the "Birthday Proclamations" of 2755, a garrison of Star League Defense Force troops was assigned on world.[36]

Clan Invasion[edit]

In March 3050 the planet was invaded by the Trinary Battle, along with Alpha and Charlie Elemental Stars, of Clan Wolf's 7thth Battle Cluster. They clashed with the planet's defenders, consisting of the 1st Skallevoll People's Armored Regiment, 1st and 3rd Skallevoll People's Mechanized Regiment, and a mercenary 'Mech battalion known as The Glory Warriors, at Stormgard's Crossing and on the Kesig Plain. The majority of both militia and mercenary forces were destroyed in these confrontations, forcing the local government to accept terms of surrender.[37]

Jihad[edit]

During the Jihad, Clan Hell's Horses launched an invasion of Clan Wolf holdings in the Inner Sphere, acquiring holdings for their own relocation to Spheroid space. The first wave of attacks captured four worlds; the second wave captured another four, of which Skallevoll was one. The first wave was launched between the 21st and 28th of February 3071, with the second wave falling somewhere between the end of the first wave and the 7th of April.[38]

Dark Age[edit]

In the early years of the post-Jihad era the First Freeman from the Ghost Bear Dominion attacked the Horses' 666th Mechanized Cluster, expecting an easy victory. Instead the Horses drove off the attackers thanks to the Bears' underbidding and their own new ProtoMechs.[39]
