History[edit]
The Solaris Lance Championship was the first Lance versus Lance tournament officially sanctioned by the Solaris Civic Council. Though there had always been various kinds of team championships in the matches held in The Reaches, outside Solaris City, but the idea had never really caught on in the major circuit.
And the in 3054 it finally came to the be, thanks to Lance versus Lance combat growing in popularity.[1]

The central element of the Solaris Lance Championship are the Stables, not the pilots. The amount of fame a MechWarrior can gain is less than in the usual single fights.
First Solaris Lance Championship[edit]
This first year was quite special. The final match between the two stables included a gentleman's agreement between the stablemasters to:
- No-weapons fight: Only physical attacks were allowed. Weapons had been electronically locked so they could not be used
- To the winner go the spoils: The winner would get as salvage all the 'Mechs belonging to the losing Stable.
The final was fought on the Steiner Stadium, where all walls and pylons were down and locked, so they were not going to be moved during the match. Four light buildings, unable to support even a 20-Ton 'Mech on their ceiling were quickly constructed/added in the circuit. Though the rules for the match do not limit it[2], it makes sense that they are located outside of a Wall/Pylon hex.[citation needed]

The way the specific rules on the Final match are explained, it can be inferred that the other rounds did not follow them, so shooting was allowed and salvage rights were at least very differently established.[citation needed]
Next Lance Championship[edit]
Though this specific tournament is never ever spoken about, it can be expected that it continued at least till the Jihad and the Word of Blake invasion of Solaris VII.[citation needed] It is not known if the First year agreement was made the usual way a final match was fought.[citation needed]

Every Stables has to use their installations.

The Arenas are where the fight contest take place are the Big Five.
